Double crochet

Emilio Pucci Spring RTW 2011

Salvatore Ferragamo

My aunt passed me a beautiful Sisley crochet dress. Problem was it was way too big for me, and although i was thinking of taking it in, crochet is quite a thick and material which looks heavy if not worn properly. Luckily, Ahmed, this saint of a man, tailors clothes in the heart of Harlesden, London. The decision was made to just cut the dress in half, one funky looking top, aka a la girl smoking, and one funky looking high waisted skirt. Perfect. Its all a little transparent though but that is not a problem though is it?

RED HAIR

It seems as though like everything else, even the colour of your hair goes through fads. Highlights, lowlights? Tints? And now Red is Big. I think pulling off red hair can be hard at times but if you do it well, its really quite striking. Given that there is a much higher awareness of skin cancer, fake tan and blond highlights have disappeared and given way to this all year round look.

MAD MEN

Again, Grace coddington is to mention here, with her deep ginger look which makes her even more mysterious.

As well as Sonia Rykiel, who took the idea even further and pushed us to think twice about our everlasting love hate relationship with the frenzy that is our hair:

and last but not least, the dame of all dames, VIVI

Of course Vivi opted for a Bright Orange, rather then even trying to bother with the natural look. And she has a point, if you are going to fake it, might as well go bright,

The stokholm look

Recently went to Stokholm, a short weekend trip to get away form the buzz of Edinburgh (ha). Anyway, the girls are more than cool, they ooze freshness, very trendy and very assertive. There is a lot of leather, and blends of leathers with a very sleek hair look, as seen in Chloe S/S, also in their latest advert.
